A Real Estate Private Equity firm is looking for an Associate to join it’s team. Commercial real estate
What the job involves
- Financial and valuation modeling across all asset classes; experience with commercial real estate a plus, but associate’s role will not be limited to commercial real estate investment opportunities
- Market research, comparative/industry analysis
- Analyzing investment opportunities
- Preparation of presentation materials to investment committee, fund investors, and portfolio company Boards of Directors
- Creation and review of regular cash flows, budgets, business and operating plans for fund investments
- Work with management teams, Boards of Directors, and operating partners in developing and executing major strategic or financial initiatives (e.g., acquisitions, refinancings)
Who we are looking for
2+ years’ experience within asset management, investment banking, private equity or corporate finance / valuation teams. Experience with both corporate finance and direct real estate acquisitions experience is strongly preferred
Outstanding academic results and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics from a leading academic institution. CFA or CFA candidate would be an advantage.
Highly numerate with developed quantitative capabilities; demonstrable financial modeling and evaluation skills are critical. In particular, a good understanding of asset level underwriting, trading, and restructuring distressed investments is important
Extraordinary focus on details, accuracy, and quality
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working on several projects in conjunction with one another
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exceptionally strong Excel and Argus skills are required
Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, CoStar, REIS, and other financial information sources
